Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread popularity in the first decade of the 20th century. Swift's interest in music began in the early years of her life. From plays for children to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and the following year she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Swift had taken her ideas from Shania's music and her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world in country music created her original songs to reflect her experience with alienation. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee at 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. This gave Swift to spend more time trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
